Construction Week 3

Construction Week 3

There was quite a lot of activity during our third week of construction.

On Monday Dunrite wrapped up excavation for the building structure and with Northern Engineering finished tying into fire, water, and sewer. Highpoint Electric began work to run an underground line to provide temporary power to the site, meaning we no longer need to run the generator to power the trailer.

On Tuesday we had our formal groundbreaking event with Brinkman, which you might have read about in the Coloradoan. This was concurrent with quite a bit of ongoing dirt work as we import dirt to bring the parking lot area up to the proper grade.

Finally, towards the end of the week, we started the first of the concrete work that will support the major steel structure of the building when it arrives in 2-3 weeks. If you watch closely, you’ll see the first concrete was poured on Friday, and the forms were removed Saturday morning.

Each second of the video corresponds to 30 minutes of real-time footage (30 frames per second, 1 minute between frames). YouTube will let you change the playback speed if you want to see things more slowly. If you’ve got the bandwidth, you can also boost the resolution all the way up to 4K! We’ll release a video every week, so stay tuned for the next construction update.
