Nonprofit Groups
*Schools, youth groups, scout troops, charity organizations, etc.*
- $15/person including all rental shoes and harnesses, OR $12/person including only harnesses
*We recommend that if you'll be climbing for more than one hour, you opt for rental shoes.*
*If you choose not to opt for rental shoes, closed-toed street shoes must be worn while climbing.* - You'll have access to all of our bouldering terrain, and any of our 6 autobelays.

- As an upgrade to the Base Package, we can provide Ascent Studio Instructors to work with your group at a rate of $30/instructor/hour. Our knowledgeable staff will belay your group, teach safety basics, and cover basic climbing technique.
- Use of Ascent Studio Instructors will allow your group to access our extensive Top Rope terrain (100+ distinct routes)
- We recommend a 1:10 instructor ratio for most groups.
- You are welcome to provide your own belayers, however:
- All belayers must be certified to belay at Ascent Studio at least ONE DAY prior to your event. We will not provide belay checks for your group the day of your event, unless otherwise arranged.
- All belayers must adhere to all Ascent Studio policies. We reserve the right to revoke anyone's belay certification.

- If you'd like something beyond a basic climbing experience, we can facilitate a custom learning experience that covers various technical skills.
- For middle school and high school groups, we can provide a Top Rope belay lesson that will allow the students to belay themselves. This lesson takes no less than one hour, and is not recommended for groups that will be in the facility for less than two total hours.
- We can also structure lessons to include other technical skills such as rappelling or ascending, or team building activities. If you have something special in mind, let us know and we'll work with you!
- Cost for custom instruction will depend on the type of instruction and the size of your group.

Private and Corporate Groups
*Businesses, Teams, and other groups*
- Our most basic level of programming is designed for groups who prefer to just simply climb. You'll have full access to all of our bouldering walls, our 6 autobelays, and our top rope terrain for up to 2 hours.
- Full gear rentals are included (shoes and harnesses).
- Two dedicated Ascent Studio staff will belay your team and provide on-the-wall coaching as desired.
*External belayers are welcome, but will need to pass an Ascent Studio belay check.*
*Add on additional Ascent Studio belayers for $50 each. If your group is larger than 10 people, we recommend additional belayers.* - Cost: $300 for up to 10 people; $20/person for each additional participant.

- This program is designed for large groups who are looking for a more immersive climbing experience. Ascent will provide trained instructors to teach members of your team how to belay each other. In that hour-long lesson, you will learn a plethora of climbing and technical skills:
*Correct use of basic climbing equipment*
*Essential climbing knot-tying skills*
*Proper methods for belaying, catching a fall, and lowering*
*Basic climbing movement and technique* - After this lesson, you will have full access to our facility to put your new skills to the test for approximately two hours.
- Full gear rentals are included (harnesses and shoes).
- Our party room is available for use, if desired.
- Cost: $375 for up to 10 people; $25/person for each additional participant.

- If you're looking to get a full team-building experience out of your time at Ascent Studio, we'll work with you to design a program that meets your specific goals, within the framework of a top rope belaying class. Your group will learn all of the climbing and technical skills provided in the Instructional Experience program. We will also facilitate icebreaker games and team building initiatives specific to the goals that you have outlined for your group.
- This full lesson will provide your group members the ability to climb on all the Top Rope terrain in the gym; as well as help you develop trust, communication skills, and a sense of community among your group.
- Prior to the event, we'll schedule a 30-minute consult with your group leader to establish your group's goals for the experience, and specialize our programming to meet your group's needs.
- You'll have full use of our facility for up to 4 hours:
*1 hour of Instructional Experience*
*2 30-minute blocks of team-building activities or company-led instruction*
*2 hours of instructor-facilitated "free" climbing time*

Frequently Asked Questions
All groups will have access to our bouldering terrain and our auto-belays. If you have an Ascent instructor, or members of your group have previously passed a belay test at Ascent Studio, you will also have access to our top-rope terrain.
Due to the high traffic we experience during the evening hours, we generally cannot accommodate large group event requests after 4:00pm. You are of course welcome to visit us any time, but we will not be able to provide special instruction, belay checks, group discounts, or a guided experience during our peak evening hours.
Every visitor to Ascent Studio must read and sign a visitor agreement; even if you are just watching, we ask that you still fill one out.
Children under 18 years of age MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign on their behalf. ONLY a parent or court-appointed legal guardian may fill out a visitor agreement for a minor, and this must be completed before the minor can participate in any activities at Ascent Studio.
It is ideal if you complete all waivers for your group online, before your group arrives at the gym. This will streamline the check-in process. Visit this link to complete our visitor agreement!
Having an Ascent Studio instructor facilitate your group event will add value to your experience in a number of ways! Depending on the needs of your group, an Ascent instructor can provide climbing-related games, lead team-building activities, or instruct on technical skills such as belaying or rappelling. If your group has limited time or just wants to focus on getting on the wall, our instructors will provide climbing tips and guidance while belaying your group on our top-rope terrain.
You are welcome to schedule a group event without Ascent instructors; if you are bringing a group of children, we ask that you provide sufficient adult supervision for your group.
Individuals ages 14 and up MUST have passed a belay test at Ascent Studio prior to the date of their large group event in order to be allowed to belay. For some groups, we may provide a belay lesson as a part of the group's programming; these individuals may be allowed to belay during the group event under the supervision of an Ascent Studio instructor, but will need to pass a belay test at a later date before they can belay unsupervised.
Climbing shoes are recommended as they make many aspects of climbing much easier; however, they are not required. We do require that you wear closed-toed shoes of some kind, to protect your feet from damage while you are climbing.
Sure! You're welcome to bring any food you would like. We have a party room and refrigerator available for use upon request; use of this room must be arranged in advance, and may include an extra charge.
